The leading lady among the Democratic nominees for president is getting a boost from one of the most powerful women in New Jersey.


MAKING HER-STORY: New support for Clinton.

Union County and Hillside Democratic chairwoman
Charlotte DeFilippo was one of four county chairs last week to add their support to New York Sen. Hillary Clinton’s campaign.

Clinton has already garnered the endorsements of New Jersey Sen. Bob Menendez and a few congressmen.

Barack Obama, who’s often tied with Clinton in the polls, has his own share of support in the Garden State, including the backing of Newark Mayor Cory Booker.

Sen. Frank Lautenberg and Rep. Donald Payne, who represents Hillside in the 9th congressional district, has yet to make an endorsement.
